I need some advice! I'm looking to buy my first tractor. I need it for working some land in Northern Wisconsin. I will mainly use it to skid logs , but eventually want to use attachments like post hole diggers and brush hog. I need one small enough to get thru the woods and big enough to have enough power to lift with the 3 point and pull. I have been thinking of a Massey tea 2085, 35, 65, 135, 175
Any opinions would be appreciated.

...has no problem pulling the pine logs that I cut down here and there, and it makes quick work of bushhogging...just bushhogged last week...in second gear! When I mow in 2nd gear it saves on fuel...but my land is flat...if you have hills, I wouldn't reccommend 2nd gear. I plan to put a post-hole digger on it this spring to put up some new cross-fencing...shouldn't be any trouble. It has the Perkins A4.236 diesel and the hydraulics have worked great for years and years...it's a '75..the last year they were made, I guess. Lynch

I'm in need of some help. my tractor is in a bit of a bind. it's a 59' mf 4 cylinder gas engine. my problem is my four speed transmission is stuck in gear plus my pto stuck in gear. any advise on this would greatly be appreciated. i have taken apart the top of the shifter area and did not see anything wrong the gears or shafts they ride on. would this be an exspensive repair.

thank you for any help!!!!!

this happens all the time. Take plug out of top of tranny as you already have, put a tire tool or large screwdriver inside & pry backwards or forwards. You will feel it pop into neutral. Tractor should be shut off when your doing this.

MF 65 will do better than a 135,35,50. More hp & virturally same size. 65, 165, 175 are lot better. Skidding is hard pulling sometimes & extra power is always a plus.
