Most of these fella's don't even know what kind of tractor they have or where to get parts, and you want them to read and follow guidlines? Good luck with that.

Most of us do know where to get parts, but are tired of getting ripped off by dealers that are overpricing the parts. So we look for alternative sources. And I do believe that 99% of us know what kind of tractor we own. A hydraulic top link would be nice on my 175...but I'd need to put in aux. hydraulics. Will have to look into it...would sure be alot nicer than having to adjust the length for every implement.

You're right about getting ripped off by some of the parts dealers, however that cannot be used as an excuse for saying the posting of ads here on the forum is OK (well, I guess you really didn't say that). There are over 1300 ads I think in the classifieds ... that would be a lot of stuff to sort through if they all ended up over here.

I have never posted an ad on here...I was replying to what the other fellow said about the rest of us...that we don't even know what kind of tractors we have...I wouldn't buy anything from someone that insults you right after he tries to sell you something...if you read my reply I never once offered to buy the part...I thought the guy went a bit too far with his statement about the MF board user's. You're right, that was a bit of an insulting comment (although it wasn't posted by the original guy who was trying to sell the part). I guess I sort of misread your response too, sorry about that. Guys sneak ads in all the time and it is a bit of a pain.

Not a problem....oh well...whoever left the comment needs to learn how to play with others. Dropping in and leaving little remarks is chicken s---.... . men stand behind what they say. I'm glad you replied...I don't like to see a great site messed up anymore than you do. Have you seen the selection of MF stuff on the site bareco.com? Too bad it's in Australia or New Zealand. They have a top link I want, but I don't want to pay 30 or 40 bucks shipping for a 30 dollar part. Lynch

Not into MF stuff at all, I have a couple of Massey Harris tractors so that's why I visit this site. I have an aquaintence (who has visited me up here) from New Zealand ... tractor collecting there is pretty big and also expensive from what he tells me.

My MF 175 diesel is solid as a rock...no hydraulic problems...multi-power is excellent...just wanting to cherry it out. Lynch
