Hi. I have a multipower leak that's coming out the bottom of the clutch housing (mid-section casting between enigne and trans). I know it is hydraulic fluid, and it will drip out in either high or low setting, which surprise me a little. I would have assumed that the leak should stop if I leave it in high or low, but neither seems to work. Is there an typical failure on these (multipower shaft seal maybe)? I realize this means splitting the tractor. How far do I have to generally have to tear down? Hopefully not into the guts of the rear diff? Thanks! -Dennis

Take out starter and you will hopefully see or get idea where its leaking. Converter is screwed
so it could be there.

In the process of repairing my (MF165) multipower right now also. The control valve is located in that section of the bellhouse, it could be that the valve, gasket or one of the lines is leaking. There is also a possiblity that the sealing rings on the shaft and bearing retainer are worn out and that seal on the input can't hold that kind of pressure. I've got some pictures I can email you if you like. Good Luck.

I am interested in your pictures. Would you send me a copy? Put MF Tractor at being of subject. This way I know it is not spam. There is a guy in OK by nickname of Big Dean that is a good source of information. Charlie/San Antonio

My 150 MF did the same thing and the connection at the end of the lines were loose. If that is the only thing leaking,I dont know, but its a start. David
