MF65 Multi-Power Question

I have an MF65 diesel with multi-power. The multi-power worked well when I bought the tractor about 2 years ago. Now, the multi-power is slow to "shift" to the high side and it's more of a gradual shift than an immediate shift. The operation of the multi-power seems to improve as the tractor warms up. Not understanding exactly how the multi-power works, I'm not sure what's happening. Could someone clue me in as to what may be happening? I've heard that multi-power fixes can be expensive. Thanks for the input!

Multi-power.

It's a planetary gearset that's being shifted
back and forth by the hydraulic system.

If your oil's dirty, filters clogged, gummed,
etc it will behave sluggishly like you described.

Mine is that way until it gets 'exercised' a bit, then it tends to free up more and more..

Hope this helps.
