i have a z 145 engine and need a rocker shaft and all the supports and rockers and need to know where to buy new ones or good used ones at. i cant get any local as we dont have a massey dealer near. my original one spun or seized the support that supplies the feed oil to the rockershaft and it wore out the rockers. it is oiling good when you crank it over with the support removed. any help would be appreciated.

Mark, am in the process of rebuilding a Z145. I purchased an entire new rocker arm assembly as every piece of the old one was out of spec and the shaft scored and out-of-round. Don't remember off-hand what the new cost, but was pricey. I thought new was the only option as the Massey shop manual indicates bushings aren't replaceable, etc. BULL! Have since learned a good machine shop familiar with older ag tractors can work wonders with these things. It's worth the time to let your fingers do the walking here. If a machine shop decides your rockers are truly beyond repair due to the lack of oil situation, email me. I still have my old ones, they'd need work but I'll make you an offer you can't refuse.
