Hello,

Just curious as to how possible it would be to swap the Standard 23C engine on my 35, for a Perkins one, assuming all parts were available, what would I need?

Cheers,

Chris

The parts differences are as follows:
1. The front end casting that bolts to the engine and mounts the front axle.
2. The fuel tanks are different but you may be able to beat yours into submission.
3. The fuel filters and associated lines would need to be modified or replaced.
4. The exhaust is different. On the left on the perkins,
5. The radiator may be different.
6. There are a miriad of other little details but I think that these are the major ones.

I have not done this swap but have two TO-35s and have swapped a Standard diesel for the Continental gas and also have a 135 with the Perkins. It is my belief that unless you own a parts tractor with all of the parts that you need, you are better off selling your tractor and buying an MF35 with the Perkins.
