I have a 135 Massey Ferguson with a diesel engine. The number that was put on the bill of sale is 3711450 X. There is the number on the transmission that is 223765, and on the right side of the motor the number is 37786300 Can someone tell me what year model this is? Thanks.

This may not be the seriel number. The 135 was built in two versions; U.K. & U.S. The seriel
numbers that I have seen all refer to the U.S.
(American) built tractor. The U.K. versions that I have seen (and I own one) have the I.D.
plate located on the dash next to the throttle.
They all have 6 digits. The American version has the seriel number plate located on the left side
of the dash above the key switch or under the hood and near the bottom of the right hand rear
of the battery box. I could tell you most of the differences between both versions. I too am looking for a list for the U.K. version. Mine is seriel 153 418

Take a look at this discussion from the MF archives. The gentleman had the same problem. Bill Wy

I don't think any of those are the ser #. 1964 to 1966 should be a 9 digit number starting with 6.
67 to 75 should be a 7 digit numver starting with 9a.
