The clutch on my mf35 is very heavy. In fact I have to stand up to change gear. Can anyone advise how to overcome this problem? The clutch appears new

I had similar problems with my FE35X with two stage clutch.

Adjusted the PTO clutch using instructions from Jack in NB and Big Dean, then the main clutch. Made no difference.

Had local dealer install new clutch plate. Made it much worse and tractor would not stop with clutch pressed down. VERY dangerous. Still the same after I adjusted the clutches.

Finally got fed up and bought new clutch assembly from Bareco and put the new clutch assembly in myself. When I got it out I found that all the internal linkages in the old clutch were so worn that no adjustment would get it to work properly. Needless to say, I have not been back to the dealer since.

The replacement job was remarkably easy and totally cured the problem. The tractor is now a pleasure to use.

Mic I had the same problem with my 50. The clutch was just replaced on mine also. The problem I had was the two stage in the clutch was not adjusted properly. When I got the clutch adjusted right it works like a dream. Before I adjusted it the tractor would start moving before the PTO would engage. .090 inch is needed between the fingers on your PTO clutch

If you have the dual Spicer clutch it's just the nature of the beast. I don't have to stand up, but a couple hours of stop and go work and the next day I try to walk in circles
