How hard is it to change the front end of my rc over to a wide front?

Is there any way to ease the strain on the u-joints of the pto shaft? I use mine to mow with and it is hard in the u-joints on the shaft because of the high pto. Thanks

Switching the front end from a narrow front to the wide front is pretty straightforward. Here is how I did the last swap.
In approximately this order:-)
1. Remove hood and grille.
2. remove radiator
3. remove steering shaft
4. remove steering box 5. Raise and block front (The tractor does get jostled a bit while positioning the wide front so the blocking must be very solid.)
6. Remove the 3/4" (if I remember right) bolts holding front pedastel to frame. You should have at this point, some way to move the front ends around. They are both too heavy to man-handle easily. I use a fork lift to guide them into place.
Bolt up the WF and replace components in reverse order.
This is an excellent time to chase any poor threads and check the steering box for problems.

What steps did I miss guys?

Good luck. You will like the WF on these tractors.

I've swaped them, and left the hood/radiator on. you need a good jack(like a R/R jack) the front end must pivot forword, so the steering shaft clears the frame on it's way out. KEEP YOUR FINGERS SAFE!!!
Good luck, Don
