44-6 manifold

Has any one had any luck seperating the exhaust from the intake manifold used on the 6 cylinder F226 continental engine? The 4 studs holding them together are pretty well burnt up and I hate to ruin everything.

The first thing I did was to turn off the bolts on top. This sounds harsh, but the bolts will break near the top where the heat affected them most. Once the pieces were separated, I turned the remaining part of the stud out of the intake manifold with a pair of vise grips. Once you have the bolts turned off, take a narrow chisel with a shallow angle and work your way around the joint. It'll take a little work and some patience, but it should come apart. Good Luck!
