I just purchased a used mf 1035. It has a plug
for what appears to be a block heater. The owner
said you should just plug it in for 20 min. or so
Is this correct? There is nothing in the manual.

I just put one in my 245. It should be a 600 watt heater so use a good extension cord. Depending on temperature, 20-40 minutes ought to do it.

If it's working properly, the block should get real warm near the heater after a couple of minutes. The cord will get warm too.

I have put one of these 600watt heaters in my MF65 and MF1100. The amp draw on 120 volts is about 5 amps. The instruction sheet said to use at leat 50% antifreeze. I usuall plug mine in for a hour to hour and half. If your heater is in plug just aft of injector pump it might be different wattage. You could use a timer on extension cord to turn heater on and off. I believe you a better off using the heater than ether!!!
