I'm purchasing a property and there is a tractor
in the barn, seller claims it's a 1929 massey,
it's got an 8 foot wide scoop in front
and a hinged platform with a ball hitch on the back. Is this the 12-20 and what might it be worth? (assuming it runs, but it looks intact
and complete)

Patrick

One thing for sure, the wheels/tires are not original (steel was the thing in '29). I can't get any photos in your website, I get the website but no pictures showing. Anyways, it's not a MH 12-20 (or also called the Wallis 12-20). Those had an angled steering shaft going down the right side of the tractor. The red color would also be wrong for a '29. It looks something like a MH Challenger from the one photo I do see what with the steering shaft going over top of the engine to that front steering pedestal. I think the tank has been changed if it is a Challenger. I wish I could see those other photos, maybe post another one here on the YT site.
