John,

see>Link

for>Link info on the 148

and>Link

for>Link the 135

On a similar vein I have been looking for a shop manual for the 148 but cannot find any refererence to one.

Is the 135 manual applicable to the 148

Cheers

THE MF 35X is similar to the MF 135. The MF 148 is based on the MF 135. It differs in the following ways (i)an 8 inch spacer in the gearbox
(ii) 8 speed gears althrough late 70's MF 135 also had this feature (iii) larger tyres front and back give it higher clearance (iv) cat 1 and cat 2 arms (again late 70's MF 135 had this feature),(v) the 148 has a AD3.152S engine which developed 47hp (DIN) to the MF 135's AD3.152 which produced 45hp (DIN) (vi) due to the spacer, the larger tyres and the larger arms it is 11 inches longer overall hence it turning circle is larger.
