A question for those on this web site. I have a M/F 50 diesel with a Perkins AD3-152 engine. What would be the correct size (guage) of battery cables to use on this machine? Your help is appreciated and thanked.

Hi Scott -

#2 is good, #0 even better. Gives a bit more cranking power in really cold weather.

We make them up from welding cable, buying the terminals (lead for the battery end from the auto wholesaler/retailer, and copper with 5/16 or 3/8 holes for the starter/ground end from the welding supplier.
