I am getting ready to restore my 1945 101 jr and need help with the original colours. The previous owner had painted it red and white( what an insult!). Would anyone have a colour picture of this tractor to sort out my problem. Thanks

Hello Shorthorn: Here are some paint codes that you can refer to for Massey Harris colors:

NAPA Acrylic Enamel:

MH RED: - Use Ford Regoon Red MH YELLOW: (late) - 99L-4341

Sherwin Williams:

MH RED: - JK-4036R MH YELLOW: - JK-4649

DUPONT:

MH RED - Centari Enamel - 674 DH MH RED - Dulux Enamel - 4294AH MH YELLOW - Centari Enamel - 43225 MH YELLOW - Dulux Enamel - 43225

DITZLER:

MH RED - Acrylic - DQE70364 MH YELLOW - 70837

Hope this helps. Now these are all automotive type finishes obviously. I have used the following for my Masseys using cheaper machinery enamel (no hardener, and brushable or spray).

RED: Glidden Safety Red (marketed here in Canada by Glidden stores as Devoe Safety Red). It's a pretty good match to MH Red I would say.

YELLOW: Tremclad Yellow - a friend of mine who had over 15 Masseys told me this was almost a dead match to original.

I think the NAPA color might be 'Ragoon' Red (spelling?) and I have no idea what 'late' MH Yellow would mean.

Meanwhile, I'm going to try finding your email address. I've got 2 101 Juniors and would like to get in touch with you. If I can't find you, write back in the Forum and leave me your email address. See ya. Mike
