I notice that when I turn the gas on it barely flows into the sedement bowl, but if I lossen the bowl the gas flows freely. Is there somekind of vent inside the gas tank that could be clogged or something?
Thanks

when bowl is empty it causes a AIR LOCK iF YOU CRACK SEDIMENT BOWL lOOSEN AND let air escape it will run when full, Unless the screen above bowl is plugged or some have a screen sticking in tank. I think air lock is the problem bob

Mark, You have a trpical thing here that people usually forget about. All you need to do is loosen the sediment bowl and turn the gas on. This will let the air exscape out the sediment bowl. When the gas gets to the top and starts to leak out of the sediment bowl you can tighten the bowl back up. That is all that is too it. This will happen with any tractor you have with a sediment bowl unless the carb leaks bad. Tony's Antique Tractors

You may have a normal condition. The sediment bowel is sealed and air tight and if the carb. bowel is full and the inlet needle good and shut off no fuel will flow until the float drops and lets the air move and fuel too. Pull the carb. bowel drain plug for a minute and see what happens.

See if it flows better when you remove your gas cap. Lots of times the vent hole in them gets plugged and the tank creates a vaccum slowing fuel flow.

MARK it sounds like to me that you have a cloged up fuel filter in the carb. had that problem an a farmall h what i did to fix tohe problem is i tolk my air comp turned it down to 40 psi and blew out the hole that the fuel line goes to in the carb. do not leave it turned up as this will blow out the gaskets in the carb. it with still run good but you will need to barely open the fuel other wise you will flood the carb. and DONT aks how i know about the las have.
