The MF35 gasoline with the continental engine had delco electrical eqpt. Because of the higher compression of the diesels, they used starters with more cranking power. The ones with perkins A3.152 diesels used delco-remy 1107503 or 1108662 starters. Perkins AD3.152 engines used delco-remy 1107512 or 1107540 . Don't know about the Standard engines. I would never recommend Lucas electrical eqpt to anyone. The reason the English drink warm beer is because they have Lucas refrigerators!!!! If you've ever owned a British car or tractor with Lucas electrical systems you know...." if it's good it ain't cheap, if it's cheap it ain't good."
Good luck, Jim

Go to an independent starter-alternator repair shop. They can get you a Lucus brand starter. This is much cheaper than Delco and of excellent quality. Think you will find gas & diesel starters to be different. Should cost $160.00

Hey Chuck, I do not own a M/F 35 but I do own a M/F 50 Diesel. The starter I have on it was manufactured by A/C Delco. This came on a A3D-152 Perkins Diesel..... ..... ..... ....Scott
