My friend just had a Massey Harris model 20 given to him, he was wondering what the horse power rating was, he thinks his uncle bought it new in 1953.He said it has no power shaft or belt pulley.I was surprised to here it had no power shaft tractors had them almost forever.

Dear Alan : As previously stated these Tractors were made in 1947-48 and were identical to the 81 which came before it. I have two 81s . PTO shafts , lights, fenders , and belt Pulleys were all options on these tractors.
Hope this helps.
George

The Hp ratings are : belt-27, drwbr-21.
They usually DID have a pto shaft, but have seen them with nothing but a drawbar. The MH 20's were only avail for 2 yrs. 1947 & 48. (A very few were made in late 46) If you post a s/n someone will check on the year & model for you. Either the year given was a couple off or it might be a Ferguson, not Massey. Guys, help me out here... when were the TO & TE20's sold? If it's a Fergy, it's the 1st I've ever heard of w/out a PTO. Best of luck - ALAN
