Looking at the manifold that needs replacing on a 277 ci 444 gas tractor, I notice it is different than the manifold on my 260 ci 44 gas tractor. The intake and exhaust manifolds on both tractors are cast in one piece but the 444 is solid and square between the manifolds where as on the 44 the two manifolds are open between them and have strips holding them together. I have no part numbers for these and would like to find numbers for both and try to get the right one for the 444. Thanks for any information I can get to help my project along. Davd B

Just an FYI, I think the manifold with the 2 strips holding the intake & exhaust together is actually a diesel manifold. These do work for gas, too.

the manifold with the square in between the intake and xhaust is a gas manifold and the one with two strips between them is a propane manifold. Either one eill work on a 44 or 444.

Thanks, I know these manifolds are original on my tractors and looking thru books good find both manifold types but didn't find the difference in use on tractors.
