I recently acquired a 1967 MF-135 with independant
PTO. I purchased an operator's manual it gives informations for the position control lever
indicator as Transport....UP....Position....Down

On mine there is Pump....High...Pressure....Low
there is no informations in the manual for this
setup.

I will greatly appreciate if someone has informations regarding this operating setup.

Previous owner did'nt know about tractors, tractor has been given to him by his mother after
his father past away.

Thanks in advance

Joe, The 135 you have is equiped with pressure control. The position lever works backwards from 135's without pressure control. back is down. The front part of the quadrent is for the pressure control. I bought a 135 new in '68. Still use it every day. It is like yours. God Bless

Thanks for the info - could you further explain about the pressure control? What function is it for? I just bought a 1968 135 that has this, and I don't have a clue what it is. I'm waiting for the manual to arrive, but I guess this is not covered in it?
Thanks in advance,
andyh

Hi

I am sure that there is a more sophisticated
application other than ones mentionned I carefully
studied the hitch reactions and there is someting
realy special. I work with MF usual hydraulic systems (draft and position control) for 50 years
now and never seen one like this one. May be someone has an operation manual that came with
a tractor with this feature who may inform us.

Thanks for the infos already given.

Andy, Massey made a hitch that fit on the 3 point hitch wit an arm extending rearard. A chain was attached to the tounge of a pull type implement. This allowed a small tractor to pull a larger implement by transfering the weight of the implement to the back wheels of the tractor for greater traction.
