On checking my transmission oil I notice it is low. The oil presently in there has a smell of Almonds and is thinner than engine oil. What type of oil do I top up with? Brand name and weight? I presume this is a mineral oil. How much will I need to purchase to "top off" I know it has an 8 gallon capacity but with the dip stick showing "low" how much should I add to bring it up to specifications?

The mineral oil is 80-90 weight specification as GL1 or from Massey it is the M1103.
Furthermore it has 6 gals cap. and I surmise from low mark a gallon would be nearly enough.

Good Luck
