In some literature I see references to the "Hillside" model of the 55 and 555. I was wondering if anyone out there knows what differences this model had.

Any photos?

The hillside model 55 should have a arched front axle and a hand clutch. The diesel engine was put in the hillside in 1950.The 55 Hillside and 55 Western High-Altitude have most of the the same options which were the arched front-axle, different fenders, oversized tires and hand clutch.

M-H had both a straight and curved front axle on
the big 5's. If the changes went further, more
subtle. Not a lot of variables in these models,
nice to have hydraulic, just basic brute power.
