Mf255 power steering

I'm working on a mf 255 that has lost its power steering. The hydralic cylinder was leaking so I put a seal kit in it.Not the problem.The tractor will steer if you have the throttle open and moving,but wont if you are sitting still. Is it in my pump or would the sector be my problem? How would I check my pump and sector?Thanks, David

Check pressure on steering pump? Set releif at 1650 psi.If that is ok? If you hear very much of a hissing noise under the steering wheel, Have your steering orbit valve rebuilt.It cost about$85.00 at your local hydraulic shop.

I also have a 255 with the same problem put in a seal kit. Still same problem. If you rev up, plenty of steering, idle and you cant turn it. Still looking for answers.
