I changed the fuel filter in my MF40 industrial diesel now it wont start. The manual is not to clear about bleeding the air out of the system. The book talks about a manual pump lever at the fuel pump but I found no lever. I unscrewed the plug in the filter till it was full then opened the lower vent plug on the injector pump, then opened the upper vent. Then tried to start but nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks Phil

Crack the injectors individually & bleed them. The bleed/ prime pump has a small flat piece that you push up & down to pump fuel around. It is situated near the injector pump. Follow all of your fuel lines until you find it if it doesnt stand out to you.

The bleed pump is located on the opposite side of the Motor on my MF135. It is like a car fuel pump and is operated off the cam shaft. It also has a lever that can be operated manually. Bleed from fuel tank to injectors ie manualy pump fuel through the filters and bleed to the injector pump. If no luck loosen injector pipes and turn motor over until fuel weeps from pipes.
