I looked at a MH33 today and noticed that the hitch arrangement looks proprietary. I've been looking for info on conversions to a 3PH and although others are available there doesn't seem to be one for any Massey Harris models. Did I miss a supplier? Am I better off to buy a different tractor with a 3ph already installed?

The hitch on the 33 should be the same as the hitch on my 44. It will hook up to any 3 point attachments I have used on it. The hitch points are standard. The only problem is using the 33 or 44 with PTO driven equipment and using the TPH. The PTO is too high on the tractor. A special top link with clearance for the PTO shaft is required and limits the range of vertical motion of the implement. I have used it that way, but you have to be careful about PTO shaft clearance. The 333 and 444 fixed that problem. Also The 33 probably does not have the "Follow Up linkage". That keeps the implement at a set height, such as for plowing with a pure mounted plow. (The Massey mounted plows have a depth wheel on them.) There is no draft sensing. Does that help? I would be happy to asnwer any specific question also.
