Hello

I recently rebuild a mf 35 but changed the indirect injection head for a direct injection head from a mf 135. Now it runs ok but it produces a lot of blue smoke. Is there a difference in the injection pump between these two engines? Any other ideas why it smokes ?

thanks

different injectors & pressures maybe? the indirect heads had pre combustion chambers so i'd say a little more than a head change is required. try contacting Big Dean online.

I took the injectors of the direct injection engine and the pistons of the direct injection to get the compression ratio correct. So a difference in pressure would be a difference in the pump or in the setup of this pump. Anyone knows if there is a difference in the pump or if I can change the pressure or fuel quantity?

thx
