I have a MF40 industrial diesel with a MF34 loader. I am changing all the fluids. I started with the engine oil, that went well. Transmission and Differential went OK after asking Big Dean where to drain and fill the fluid. Now the loader, I drained the oil and it was milky so there must be water in the oil that much I have read about.
What I dont know is how do I flush the system to get the water and oil out?

I am also confused about what type of oil to use for the transmission, differential, steering and the loader, I have some Napa premium universal tractor fluid #85-405 would this be good to use?

The book calls for automatic transmission oil type A M-1110 for the backhoe-loader hydraulic system. But I don't have a backhoe. I have a box scraper.

For the transmission, differential, torque converter, hydraulic and drive axle planetary, calls for using, M-1129A

The hydrostatic steering also calls for M-1129A but the steering fluid in the tractor is red and the other fluids in the tractor came out tan color.

Can someone help me with the fluids for my tractor.

Thanks Phil

Six mounths ago I went through the same thing with my 205 industrial. After a lot of phone calls and E-Mails, I used MF permatran 3, in everytheng but the engine. Everything works great. I tested the pressure on the power steering, loader, and 3 point and all are good, even at idle and the hydraulik clutches and torqur converter are rock solid with a stall- lock up speed of 1,000RPM. As for the water,on mine, there is an allen plug on the bottom of the loader control valve and a plug on the bottom of the loader frame. Water seems to collect at these places.
