Please share any ideas on best way to troubleshoot no oil pressure reading on the guage, engine runs smooth. Could lines be stopped up or guage not working? This is a problem on a Massey Harris Pacer with cont. eng. Thank you for your help.

remove the gauge, crank the engine, there should be oil coming out of the hole where tha gauge is fitted...

You might try hooking up the oil line to the gauge to another gauge that you know is working. Or, remove the existing gauge and test it with air pressure from your compressor. Put a rubber hose around the button or trigger nozzle on your compressor hose and press the hose on the back fitting of the gauge. Make sure you set your compressor output at a safe pressure, say 30 pounds or so. Trigger the nozzle and the gauge should show a pressure reading, maybe not 100% accurate but it at least tells you whether or not the gauge is functional.
