I was wondering if there is any major differences in performance and reliability betweeen the Massey Ferguson 65 MkI and MkII. I know that the MkI had the Perkins A4-192 and the MkII had the Perkins AD4-203 engines, so I was wonder what is the effect of these two different engines.

Thanks,
Damon

I think this is the way it goes:
MK I = A4.192 engine, 50.5 hp
MK II = A4.203 engine, 56.5 hp
and later with AD4.203 engine, 62 hp.

Damon, Both were superb tractors, being very reliable and usually trouble free. The MK 2 engine was direct injection and developed about 5 more horse power than the Mk 1. The AD4-203 was a refined and improved version of the 192. The Mk 2 could also be fitted with multipower.
Peter.
