Just a little note to let everyone know who builds a strong running tractor. At my local county fair a m-h 101 took the sled out of the arena & beat em' all by a mile. My neighbor seems to think his Ford 800 will out pull my m-h 44G. I don't think he stands a chance. We will see soon this fall.

I grew up on a Farmall M and a M-H 44. I love 'em both to this day. The 44 had a few more hp than the M but the M had more traction. I get around to a few pulls and I rarely see a 44 outpull an M.

Yep i agree with ya.A ford 800 wont compete with a 44.what size of lbs. class is that you guys are pullin in?We showed the fellas with cases and olivers how to get it done with our massey-ferguson 165 in the 5,000 lbs stock class at the fair pull.We placed 3rd out of 14 tractors.
1st and 2nd place were both farmall m's that we cant seem to beat.well have fun at the pull.

We pulled in the 4,500lb. class and then " pulled up" in the 5,000 lb. class. Closest thing to a full pull to the 44 was a farmall m. Funny, the m was drove by a kid about 14 yrs. old. He really was fun to watch when he pulled the string on her!

Surprising you would get tripped up in third place by a couple of M's, stock rated 33.75 HP. The difficult stock competitors, if running strong, would be the 88RC Oliver and 44RC Massey-
Harris. Safer not to ask the juice used. What
happened to your 18 HP advantage, a bias factor?

I thought that was the hp on an ''H''.These gys got 2 ''m''s with m+w piston kits.trust me they are right near the 50 h.p. limit.I aint sure why we cant beat em,its probably the tread on the tires they got.Now that i think of it i think we have beat em a few times but it aint easy.I think
the massey dynoed out at 48 hp lst time we pulled, but that aint bad since it is 34 years old.
