This weekend the transmission stuck in 3rd gear while I was using my MF-65. The shifter looks to be in the 1st gear position but tractor is in 3rd ans cannot get the shifter to move. Any ideas??
I remember something I read about a long screwdriver, but can't remember what to do with it.

Thanks

the end of your gearstick is worn, so it can slip out between the selectors. Take it off, put a blob of weld on the end and grind it back to size. When you knock the tractor out of gear make sure the handbrake is on or wheels chocked, it is possible for two gears to become selected at the same time and when you knock it out of one the tractor can roll off with you between the wheels as I found out one day...

Open oil fill pug on top of tranny, make sure range lever is in neutral , use screwdriver to move it out of gear ,it also helps tp depress the clutch , Big Dean has it all on his website.
