I need a wiring diagram or schematic diagram for the Massey Ferguson MF 202 tractor.
The tractor name plate information is:
Massey Ferguson MF 202
1964
JGM 309110

My friend had the local mechanic "fix" an electrical problem . . now the battery drains overnight. Problem was tracked down to the Fuel gauge . .which was always "on". I got everything working, but want to redo all the wiring. The "mechanic" had no clue regarding the electrics. For example, a push pull switch was added to the starting circuit . .why? . .who knows? . .the transmission nuetral switch is working fine. The old wiring was not removed. Cut and unused wires and parts of wires are hanging all over the place.
Instead of trying to figure what the "butcher" did, its much easier for me to just install brand new wires.
A scanned image of the wiring would be fine. If you dont have a scanner, I'll send you a self addressed stamped envelope.

Syl

Found a very simple wiring diagram on the following web sit. There is a section for wiring diagrams on the side bar. The one I found closest was the Ferguson TO-35 (gasoline). The wiring on mine doesn't sound quite as butchered as the one you mentioned. This diagram answered all my questions even though it's not real detailed.

Try Big Dean Austin's web site. He has several MF wiring diagrams listed. The MF135 should be very similar. Does the MF202 has a generator or an alternator as this may be the bit that is different.
