The 65 was a good tractor for the row crop farmer when it was introduced in the 50's. It still is a proven workhorse on many small farms across the country. In evaluating the tractors for purchasing, you have to consider the time they've sat, as well as certain configurations. Better to buy them now and fix them then to let them sit for another 8 years. If they have multi-power, they are worth more. Also, the diesel is likely to fetch a higher price than the gas model. The gas engine was a 176 cu. in. Continental and the diesel engine was a 203.5 cu. in. Perkins. if they are diesel, I highly recommend buying them. We have two 165's, which are just newer versions, and they are great to have around, thanks.

I doubt you will be able to drive it away. the biggest detractor of the tractor is if it has a multipower transmission if it does you are looking at 1500-2500 canadian to fix it right. It may be worth quite a bit more that $500 just for parts. A non running tractor is usually worth quite a bit less. How much of a budget do you have? are looks that important? You need more info on loader to establish a value for other tractor. Is it a pipe or tube frame loader. Are there any manufactures stickers or model #s to help you out. Does it use the tractors internal hydraulic pump or is there a front mounted pump or a PTO mounted pump is the loader bent does it appear to have been welded.
just a few thing to think about before jumping in.

Has the exhaust been covered and is there any moisture in the engine? Are all gear cases good and not crackec? I figure the price for the one tractor is very good. Completely restored dhould bring you about 4 to 5 thousand. Scott
