For a start, you know what you are going to pay for it (and we don't), so you'd have a much better idea of what you're gonna sell it for than anyone else I would think. Why not tell the audience what you paid, I'm sure it's not a secret. Are you satisfied with flipping it and making a reasonable profit or do you plan on making a ton of money? Prices are a pretty difficult thing depending on area, demand, condition, and of course the buyer that wants it has to be there too. I'd guess at maybe $1200 in this area if it's as you describe.

You know I thought that would not matter! I guess by trading a john deere riding mower we need to find a value on it first huh? I just wanted some insight on if I should keep it or restoring it be of best interrest!! thanks

Thanks, one thing I have noticed the water pump needs some attn. do you think the kits to re-seal are ok. I guess if needed I can get one from a lincoln dealer or straight from continental!

One thing about those Masseys from that era, they're easy to work on and repair. The engine, clutch and driveshaft can all be lifted out without splitting the tractor. Brakes are easily relined if you need to. And the engine (made by Continental, either a 124 or 140 cubic inch) was common to many Masseys and other ag applications, plus lots of industrial ones too (eg. Lincoln Welders, etc.). If I were you I'd keep it, especially if the rubber is good, they're nice little tractors.
