I have been looking at a massy 265 diesel about 3600 hrs the price is 7500. I have also been looking at a allis 180 gas about 3900 hrs the price is 4000. Does anyone out there have a comment on either tractor, both tractors are in fair to good shape, the massy has a shimmering in the steering, other than that it seems tight. I have heard that the 180 gas might like to suck fuel.Thank you for your comments.

My neighbor has a 180 gas and it's a heck of a tractor, but like you say it is a fuel hog. It's been relatively trouble free except for excessive gas consumption.

265 has 236 Perkins , AC 180 has 301 6 cyl gas , both are good tractors , but if you're gonna work them hard , go with the Massey , or else fuel bill will hurt you--- Bill
