Leaking Transmission

I have a 1958 Massey Ferguson 35 with a Continental engine, 3 speed hi-low. There is a small, but constant leaking coming from a hole below the transmission. It looks like somebody has pushed a kotter pin into this whole. Why is the kotter pin in the hole? and How do I stop the leak? How much trans./diff./hydraulic fluid does this tractor need? On another subject, cylinder three has an oversized spark plug. The threaded portion of the plug is much wider in diameter than the other three plugs. However all four plugs have the same Champion spark plug number of 51. Is this correct or has some machine work been done on this cylinder? How do I find a replacement plug?

Thanks in advance.

the kotter pin is in ther to keep dirt out of the hole it moves around and if the hole plugs the bell housing will fill with oil and your clutch will get full and slip. on the spark plug it must have been striped so they went with a bigger spark plug base will not hurt a thing. if the leek on the trans. is just a little don't worry about it just watch the dip stick and add when you have to
