NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!

I found a TO-20 for my brother. Paid $1200. Drove it 18 miles home, runs great, sheet metal solid, paint flaky, leak in radiator but I patched that already. Took the cutter off of my 8N and was going to mow my yard. Tried the lift, VERY touchy. Holds implement up after turning tractor off, for a long time. Okay, I turned it off and took the "Boss" out for supper, and did not go back to the TO20 until next morning. Implement still just where I left it. Very strong. Now the problem. When cutting, the hydraulics creep upward. I adjusted the control as per the TO-20 Ferguson Factory shop Manual (page 154, 155). Only slight improvement. Is there a relief port on the top of the hydraulic like on my MF-40? I found a place near the control that appears to be pluged up, that might be the breather for the hydraulic.
Lift prefers to be all the way up or all the way down.
Thanks for the help!

Hi There Jim,

The TO20 has what is called draft control. Draft control is designed for implements such as plough and cultivator. To use the mower you need position control. With position control you can hold an implement at the correct working height and it will not drift up or down.

Follow this link for some more info on one of the after market conversion kits to give position control. By the way, Stephen also now has a US distributor.

Hope this helps.
