Just finished reading all the postings about the MH 444 looking for information about the correct color codes for the sheet metal and the wheel hubs. We just bought a nice one and are having it repainted. I just want to make sure that it is correct.

Also- where is a good source for the decals?

3rd. Question: From what info I've read it is a 4 plow tractor. What is the pto hp? How well do these 444s do pulling the larger round balers?

These are from the Massey Collectors Association. They have been real helpful about getting Massey answers. See www.masseycollectors.org

Hi Mike-The color's for a 444 MH are the engine is bronze;chassis and hood are red;rear hubs are yellow;rear rims are aluminium;front hubs and rims are yellow;radiator and shroud are black;the grill screen is yellow.I get my decals made by my local sign shop they have done a real good job of them.There price is reasonable.The listings I have for hp only give the drawbar and belt specs.Test #576 done on a diesel in 1956 shows drawbar hp at 46 and belt hp at 51.Test #602 done on a LP model in 1957 shows drawbar hp at 47 and belt hp at 52.I would say that the pto hp should coincide with the belt hp.I am not sure how it would handle a round bailer.
