I am installing a Tisco diverter valve and related couplings on my MF135, so that I can operate the dual action cylinder on a haybine.

Can anybody tell me how the tractor's controls are supposed to work for this set-up?

Thanks,

Peter

IF YOU ARE INSTALLING A SWITCH OVER VALVE
UNDER THE SEAT TAKE THE TWO BOLTS OFF OF THE HYDLICK COVER AND INSTALL THE SWITCH OVER VALVE AND YOU HAVE TO HOOK UP A RETURN LINE TO THE TRANMISSION THERE IS A PORT ON THE LEFT SIDE ON THE SIDE OF THE TOP COVER . IF YOU USED IT TO RUN YOUR HAYBINE YOU FAVE TO HAVE YOUR TRACTOR CONTROL IN THE UP POSISTOIN THAT ALL YOU MAY HAVE TO INSTALL A SEPREAT CONTROL FOR YOUR DUAL ACTION . HOPE THIS HELP

Hi Peter from South Wales UK.
Not sure what a 'Tisco' valve is but if it is a basic diverter valve you will only have one, two or three outlets from it. There will be no return. The valves normally have a push/pull spool to select internal or external. Your pipework will need to be taken through a double acting valve block to the cylinder. Make sure that the supply and return pipes are fitted correctly. The return pipe which should be of larger diameter than the supply can be returned to the plug in the LHS of the hydraulic cover (under seat) or the filler cap next to the gear levers can be tapped to suit. If it is an MF fitted valve, you will have a return line in it. It will be the larger of the two ports, but you will still require a spool block. Control settings, whether pressure control type or not, the draft lever should be fully raised and the control lever set to 'constant pumping'
Hope this is of some help.
DJ
