HEY GUYS, THAT THING THAT NONE OF US CAN FIND AND ONLY THE LUCKY ONES HAVE. THE THREE POINT HITCH. I HAVE SEEN SO MANY PEOPLE THAT HAVE M-H TRACTORS LOOKING FOR A THREE POINT THAT I FEEL THE NEED TO HELP IS THERE ( MYSELF FIRST OF COURSE ).MOST OF US NEED THE CAPABILITY TO AT LEAST PUT A BLADE ON THE BACK TO PLOW SNOW OR PUSH A LITTLE DIRT AROUND, OR MOUNT A FINISH MOWER ON THE BACK. I HAVE A DESIGN I THINK WILL WORK FOR A UNIVERSAL THAT CAN BE TAKEN ON AND OFF IF NEEDED. I AM GOING TO BUILD ONE FOR MY 44 FIRST AND GIVE IT A TRY. THEN I MIGHT MAKE A FEW MORE WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM A FRIEND. IN THE MEAN TIME IF THERE IS A ORIGINAL OUT THERE OR A AFTERMARKET THAT WILL FIT, I'LL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO BUY IT. THANKS TO ALL.

I posted a wanted ad on this site back in the winter and was able to get a complete 3 point and hydraulic setup for my MH 33. I paid $400 US for everything including the tank, pump, control valve, cylinder and the complete hitch-all system.
I found that there are many complete parts tractors available. They are unually between $500 and $1000 depending on the condition and the accesories. It's surprising just what you can find when you do a little digging. I found a few tractors that had hydraulics and lift cylinder with the rocker shaft for cultivator attachment. I think this could be easily adapted to a homemade type 3 point setup. I know a fellow that has a 33 and a 44 that both have this setup and he wants to sell but we couldn't come to an agreement. I also know of a dealer that has a complete hydaulic setup but no 3 point for $550 Can. These are all located in southern Ontario, 30 to 50 miles from the US boarder. The parts are out there, it's just a matter of doing a little hunting and that's part of the fun of it.

I made mine for my MH30. It was a straight puller but I needed to blow snow and broadcast seed.

I have a parts 3ph MH30 that came with a working 2 way cylinder and timing gear pump. I past that over to my working tractor and made the 3ph system. The hydr system on the MH's back then were proprietary. Any farmer who needed one paid a bit extra to have it gerry rigged at the shop.

All thinks considered and after all the work I did, it turns out there isn't that much extra money wrapped up to build a system and you have a lot of leeway as to how much lift power you want.

I realize now I don't need the down pressure, but I'll probably be eating my words when I buy a post auger.

The whole system goes something like:

1/ Hydr pump for timing gear match ...or
run it off the PTO .... or install a double pully on the pump and run it on the pump pulley.

2/ I used 4000 lb wire wound neoprene hose
with 2 swivel ends for the main (actual pressure for my pump is 1600-1800 I think) 80$

3/ 1 oil resistant neoprene return hose @ 200lbs (cheap). 15$ ish

4/ 2 way cylinder with 10in extend and 1 1/4
or 1in shaft ( not expensive) like I say you can play around to get ram speed and max lift to match the pump.

5/ bypass relief valve, this you'll have to get expert help on as mine is built in the cylinder, but as things go they're not expensive.

6/ 4 gal oil tank.

For the hitch system I used 1/2in X 3 mild , but now I figure 5/8 would be better. I got a cardboard and simply drew things to scale on it
with cardboard lift arms until I got a proper arch for most common implement heights.

A few don'ts I see people making.

Don't attach to holes that hold cover plates and such, casting is not thick enough for the strain. Use the 5/8in attach holes on the side of the transmission.

Make sure the top link hole lines up vertically with the tractor side lift arm pins otherwise the top link won't arch with the same radius as the control arms, a bummer setting the plow draft.

You may need international or other high pto
implements as the universal will reach max flex when the implement is full down. I'm assuming the pto on the 44 is as high as mine.

Well that's all I could think of, Good luck.
