Hi, I purchased an acreage last summer, sitting forlornly out in the back corner behind the trees is a massey tractor ...

I found a plate on the left side of the frame just below where the gas tank used to be: looks like it has 33098 stamped on it, everything else is pretty rusty.

The tractor has a small 4 cylinder gas engine, 4 speed transmission, with clutch on the left side and 2 brakes on the right. There is a lever that emerges from the tranny, I assume it's pto.
It has a belt pulley on the right side, and a conventional swingin drawbar, and 540 pto.
It's a standard axle front end, not tricycle.

My uncle used to have a 44 massey, and this one looks a bit smaller to me.

The tractor has original sheetmetal, obviously never been painted, but was surprised to see how straight the hood and fenders are.

Some of the parts have been removed, such as the exhaust but I'd say the tractor is over 90% there..
All the wheels are there, the right rear has been removed.
Rubber is flat.

By the looks of things this thing has been there for many moons, so I'm wondering if the best thing to do is start snapping pictures of some of the better parts such as fenders and such.

Does anyone in western canada need a parts tractor?

I'm not looking to fix up the Massey, as I just bought a Ford 2N that runs fine when it feels like it and is pretty handy around my place for mowing and such with the 3 pt hitch.

I'd like to find a new home for the Massey as it seems like such a waste to have it rusting away like that.

Lyle.
