Wimpy Stabilizer Arms on MF150

I pull a 6' Woods heavy duty brush hog with my MF150 and I am having a terrible time with the stabilizer arms. This mower weighs about 900 pounds and the stabilizer arms look like pretzels after a few sways of the mower. Are there some heavy duty arms that will handle this or should I consider adjustable arms (they seem a little more stout than the 1/4" flat stock bars I have now)? Thanks for the input!

mine has chains for sway control (homemade by someone before me) however tsc stocks the. one on each side both adjustable. does not cause binding like two swaybars. plus can be left real loose when plowing to reduse sway when plow is in air.

Jon,
I also have a MF150 and pull a 6 foot hog. I put on adjustable stablizer arms on both sides. Just like Boss Hog stated here and have not had a problem for many years.

I had the same problem with the flat bars. I backed off each end 3 inches or so and then laid a piece of 1 1/4 inch angle on the bar and welded it solid. It sure added some much needed stiffness.

I went with the round stabilizers for the same reason. Easy to bend the flat one.

Try putting a stabilizer bar on each side. That way, one of them is always in tension.
