I have a MF with an E208 continental gas. Not sure of model. Either 303, 333, 406 or 1001. How can I find out what I have for parts info?

The Massey Harris 333 had the 208 cubic inch engine in it. It was built by Continental but I don't think you'll see that indicated anywhere on the engine, but I'm not 100% sure. It was a slightly larger bore size than the engine used in the MH33 which was I think 201 cubic inches. Now I'm not sure as to your reference to Massey Ferguson in your question ... maybe that engine showed up again in those later tractors after the Harris name was dropped.

I have a Massey Ferguson 406 with the E208. The 406 is the industrial version with a front mounted loader and high centrally mounted operators platform. The 1001 uses the same engine, transmission and final drive components as the 303 but is factory equipped with a reversed operators platform and loader mounted over the drive wheels. The steering axle is at the rear of the unit. Massey Harris 333 and 444 are agricultural tractors which were available in standard, high-clearance or tricycle models. MHF 303, MF303,MFH404 and MF404 are industrial versions using the same engine, trasmission and final drive components as MH-333 and MH-444.
less it has been removed, there should be a small metal tag riveted somewhere on the frame with the model and serial number. Mine is on the operators right side, on the frame below the engine.
Parts for these are getting harder to find. I just rebuilt my E208 for the 2nd time. The only internal engine parts I could not find were the wet sleeves. mine are tapered 10 thou and should be replaced but I'll have to live with the taper for now. Very few continental parts are avaiable through Massey but you can still obtain most of the tractor parts. Once you determine your model you can buy a manual over the internet, I do not have the web site at this moment but can look it up if you need it. I believe the manuals were around $30.00. Other parts,(new and used) are available by searching the internet with your model number. Hope this helps, good luck. Len
