Hi: I just finished doing a valve job on my 1971? MF 135 with a perkins gas AG3-152 engine. When I start the tractor it takes a long time to get oil up to the rocker arms and than it dos'nt seem to be enough oil to work its way back to the valve side of the rocker arms. The oil pressure gauge shows good oil presure altough it has no numbers on it. I also adjusted the rocker arm shaft to the position that would allow the most oil.I would like to check the oil presure with a gauge [with numbers]on it, dose anyone know what the presure should be at the oil line that comes up to the head?

Dean,

The pressure should be around 50 to 65psi. Check that you haven't restricted the flow to the rocker assembly by not aligning the shaft and the feed passages.

Graham.

There is an oil line coming up to the rocker arms. I put a gauge on the block where the the gauge on the dash conects and I have 55-60 psi and than I put the gauge on the line at the rocker shaft and I only have 5 psi. Is there a check valve or reguletor somewhere??

The alignment of the slot in the end of the rocker shaft controls oil delivery. I believe there is a indexed standard setting for inital adjustment
