I recently purchased a Leinbach 20 Blade (20")Disc Harrow for my MF 135 Diesel. However, I
think that this disc is too heavy for this model
Tractor. I have to run in 3rd gear in Low. I was told I should be able to run in 1st gear in High Range. Engine smokes some if trying to run in this high range. Do you think Disc is too heavy for this Tractor?

Kirby, Your disc is too heavy for your tractor. If you have a 20 disc harrow, it is not less than 8 feey wide and could be as much as 12 feet wide. 7 feet is plenty wide for a 135 whether 3 point or wheel disc. I hope the person you purchased the disc from will take it back. Good luck and GOD bless

Old Man,
Thanks a lot for the advice. I should have asked the question on this forum before I purchased the disc. The MF Dealer told me this was okay for my
MF 135 but he may have just wanted to make a sale.
I will see if he will trade me for a smaller disc.
I am sure I will loose some $bucks on the deal. Where do you measure to get the width as the sets of discs are angled? Thanks,
Kirby (SC)

from autside disc to outside disc on the back gangs. I should have asked if the discs are 20 wide across the harrow or 20 total on the disc.

I have 20 total disc blades on the harrow that are 20" blades. I just feel like these are too heavy for my MF 135 Diesel. I think the disc harrow weight is between 800 to 900 pounds. I appreciate your taking the time to answer my questions. God Bless You.
