Dear mc,
It is hard to give you an answer to your question without knowing what your level of skill is and what level of restoration you are looking for. I would start with the basic repair manual for the tractor. The most common and least expensive repair manual is published by IT. They have manuals for all makes and models of tractors and they are fairly easy to follow and understand. I would start by deciding what works well on the tractor and what doesn't. Then try to repair those things that don't work so well one by one. Don't take the whole tractor apart unless you really have a good level of tractor knowlege and skill. After you have fixed each item on the tractor to your liking, use it for a while to make sure that everything works well and there are no major leaks. That takes care of the mechanical side of things. Then is the time to take care of the cosmetics or appearance of the tractor. There are web sites that have all of the parts that you need and they also have many restoration books and videos that you can read or watch to help you out. I have three Ferguson 35s and each of them have been restored now to nearly new condition and I have had a great time doing it. If you need more help, please let me know. There is a lot of help available on this web site from people that have had every problem with their tractor that you may have with yours. Good luck
