Does anyone know the diemensions of the rear axle oil seals to fit a Mh-744D tractor. I need to replace both seals and would like to know the size, if possible before I attempt to remove the seal, just in case it gets damaged in the removal process. Thanks.

I'm posting this message from Australia by the way also, if that helps as well!!!

Dear David,
have you got a spanner large enough to undo the rear wheels? Be extremely careful in removing them, as I think they weigh quite a lot (probably 300-400 kg each.) I removed the front wheels and they weigh at least 40 to 50 kg as the rims are cast iron.

Let me know how you go,
Damon

The rims on my tractor have a seperate hub to the rim ( centreless rims ). I also have to remove two(2) wheel weights per wheel. Do you know where I can get rear axle seals in Australia do you?

Dear David,
your wheels are set up differently to mine, do you have the row crop tractor?

As for the seals I don't know if they are available in Australia. The best bet is to talk to a Massey Ferguson dealer.

If I find anything out I will let you know though.

Regards,
Damon.

P.S. Do you have a copy of the workshop manual for the 744D and where are you located?

Thanks for the reply. I would like a copy of the diemensions if you have them. I'd like to replace mine, but don't want to damage them when removing them, just in case I can't get them.

thanks
