What's your soil like?
We plowed in heavy clay with a 3-14 behind our 165. Also it was mostly flat surface. But along hills and gulleys we use a 4X4

We have a 165 D and we pull a 3 furrow 14 inch bottom plow. The soil conditions are sandy loam. It does a real good job in 4 low gear. Our 35 Diesel and gas both pull a 3 furrow 12 inch bottom. The diesel does a better job than the gas with this plow.

Hi, When my Dad bought his new 165D in 1974 they sold him a MF 3 bottom plow with it. I seriously doubt you could handle anything bigger in this part of the country (MD). Bill
