Massey Harris 88 ???

Has anyone heard of a Massey 88? My cousin has discovered a Massey 88 in a barn and original. He can't find any info on an 88. I have never heard of an 88.

This is in Ontario Canada and would be a Canadian tractor I would think.

Thanks for any info.

Thought they were all labeled M-F 88? A 'standard'
short-lived production blunder from the newly named M-F, once the Heirs of M-H, the Racine plant activity, and Bucky had departed. With nothing but Harry Ferguson's toys, M-F almost
brought back the 555, but assembled this 88 as
a tractor. Poorly received, problematic, they soon canceled it, quickly going to 90, then super 90. If this one has M-H decals, probably
just convenient parts from inventory to use.
The S/N plate, no doubt MHF or MF. Remember the
combines were labled M-H through '62. Not much
to get excited about with a 88.
