It seems like most of the Massey Ferguson dealers are now selling Kubota here in Tn.Some have went to just Kubota. This scares me!Has anyone heard anything? Is Kubota a good tractor? I've always been around Massey's and John Deere.Kubota's don't look as heavy duty to me.Thanks

Alas, none of the AGCO tractors, including the Masseys, are US made.

Does this mean I can't buy a John Deere? the little ones are built in Japan and the mid sized ones re built in Germany. Are M-F's built in the USA or overseas and shipped in? I know it sounds silly but what is American made anymore? I have a 2002 Honda motorcycle that is built in Marysville Ohio so who knows...

Most of the AGCO line of tractors is built in Kansas City. Only a few of the smaller models are built in the U.K.

That's what will sink our industries in the long run. Too many people buying Japanese anything.

Everythings fine right now until the next trade war, then watch the headaches.

Massey is STILL the number one selling tractor world-wide. That should say something about the products. Yes, AGCO has its hands full trying to support all the different dealer organizations for all it's lines, but they do seem to have a strategy that uses Massey to be the "value-leader" in the line-up. Check the AGCO site (www.agcocorp.com) under "Challenger" and you'll see that CAT dealers will now be selling yellow Masseys! The CAT dealers are used to working with the best products and AGCO wouldn't be foolish enough to alienate them if they weren't going to support Massey for a long time to come.

Honestly.. Will you be able to pay for a tractor that is manufactured in the USA?

Here you cannot pay off the worker with just a bowl of rice and a kick in the butt!

If you didn't go for the bargain every time, and if you didn't want your shares to pay off top dividends, there might be a chance of decent pricing..... ..

It seems all tractors are made overseas now a days so do yourself a favor and buy an older tractor, they are not 40000 to 60000 like the new ones and will last as long as you take care of them, I sometimes think of the workers like my dad was before he died and how they used to care about what they built and the Companys did also, now it seems its lets screw the Americans as hard and long as we can with overpriced, underbuilt products. It really upsets me when every lable I read says made in china, japan, tawian, etc. When is our country gona wake up an get back to pride of mfg., ownership etc. Maybe Im just dreaming and those days are gone, but I do know that I and My company will always be proud of what we do and who we do it for. Sorry for going on but I am so disapointed with the way things are I could spit.

I don't want to stir up any trouble here, I try to buy USA. made parts & products, But what gets me you buy something from a American co. You open it up & find chinia, tiwan, japan, If I wanted this crap. I would of bought the cheaper crap to begin with, As an average consumer we don't have much choice, Its the Owners of the companys decide where & how cheap to make something, bottom line its about making & saving an buck. my .10 worth Dave F.

Guys....I didn't mean to stir a hornets nest!I own a '66 MF135 and was just becoming concerned that parts maybe hard to find in the future. My tractor is stamped "Made In U.S.A".I ,like everyone else, feel like we should buy American.I hope we don't loose anymore industry to foreign nations. Most people have forgotten what our boys fought and lost their lives for to keep this country a leader and great! It seems like everyone has their hand out wanting a slice ....do you think this may have something to do with it!

Oh my heart bleeds for you poor Americans. Who do you think owns the big Agricultural corporations? AGCO are the biggest Asset Stripping organisation in the world, no wonder Massey's on it's way out. They want to build Harry Ferguson's tractors in places with no Engineering Knowledge like Brazil and Turkey, having made the majority of it's UK engineering team redundant. They have been nothing but bad news for UK built MF Tractors since they bought MF. Just go to their website and listen to Reckless Ratcliff's webcasts. The sooner Americans admit that they can't do everything better just because they talk louder than anyone else the better.

thing in our interpretation of what he's trying to

Junk? now ait a minute. I am as American and anyone else is and would love to buy American at all times but junk? If you will remember the Japanese were building cars tht would go 100-200k long before American autos would go 75-80k without being worn out. While Harley has gotten alot better they still are nowhere near as reliable as a Honda,Kawasaki, etc. I hate to admit this as I am an American worker but facts are facts. We excel in certain areas but are far lacking in others.

Of course we as workers here make a good living as well and since the business owners want to make a healthy profit also then the prices are higher since overseas workers are paid less. Funny thing is, for all of the Buy American people who have writen on here I would almost bet your using an imported computer to do it on.

I'll go one farther, working in a machine shop as I do it is funny how everyone is buy american but the products re build on imported machinery as well. So where does it end?

Wayne: Kubota is a "fair" tractor...but like Tim said...we need to start thinking more American. Tim...if you run for office..let me know..I will be your campaign manager! Good words..from the heart..and very good to hear. Gives me hope that there are still some real Americans out there ..keep the faith and pass it on!

Something else to think about. Just because the foreign nameplates are made in the USA, dont be fooled that the biggest share of the money made on that product stays in the USA. Most of that profit goes back to Japan, or Korea, or China-where ever they came from in the first place.

There are enough good ol' American built tractors sitting around hedgerows to last me the rest of my life. It will be a cold day in the hot place, before my income gets sent overseas. I'll buy a MULE first! Let's see now. Didn't that funny guy from Texas, Ross P say something about "a giant sucking sound" and most people laughed at him. I see Levi jeans is closing 6 plants and moving south to Mexico. Well guess what...I can live with my American made bibbies and NO jeans!

I did 8 years of top-secret work for the US Gov. and I traveled to many other countries. Had a great time. Saw some great places. Met some fine people, but I wouldn't trade the ol' farm for anywhere else in the rest of the world. God Bless America!
